Entrance in the Higher Educational Institutions is Proposed to Carry Out Based on the Results of Entrance Exams
1 / 1

On June 25, the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport convened an extraordinary sitting moderated by Hovhannes Hovhannisyan. The debate of the draft law designing addendum to the law on Education in the second reading was on the agenda. The bill in the first reading was passed at June 24 sitting of the RA NA extraordinary session.

The RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan informed that recommendations were not presented during the period from the first to the second reading. According to the new approved new order, the entrance in the higher educational institutions will be carried out based on the results of one entrance exam. The exam was chosen depending on the peculiarity of the profession, which is necessary for studying with the given profession instead of former two or three examinations.

This exception is fixed by the draft law for the period of the announced state of emergency or martial law.

The Committee members highlighted the adoption of the bill and endorsed it for passing in the second reading.
